The Kruger National Park Eco-System

  • The Kruger National Park is the largest game reserve in South Africa and one of the greatest game parks in the world.

  • It is roughly the size of Israel and is home to all the Big 5 and many other species.

  • Due to its great size the animals have great scope for movement, and the park mimics an authentically natural ecosystem.

Cape Town: "the Mother City"

  • Cape Town is the oldest city in South Africa, founded by Dutch settlers as a refreshment station on the way to the East.

  • It is found on the south-western most tip of the African continent and is considered one of the most scenically beautiful cities in the world.

  • The city is famous for Table Mountain, a 3000 feet high mountain that comes right up to the sea, creating breathtaking scenery.

City of Gold

  • Johannesburg, the largest city in South Africa and Africas commercial centre, is the ideal base for exploring the country.

  • The warm and vibrant Jewish community makes it a great place for a Shabbos and the many attractions within a day trip radius like the Gold mine museum, the bustling black township of Soweto, and the game-rich Pilansberg National Park are not to be missed.

Madikwe Game Reserve

  • The relatively new Madikwe Private Game Reserve is situated on the fringes of the famous Kalahari desert.

  • It contains all the big 5 and is best known for its wild dog, one of the rarest species in the world.

  • Madikwe has a number of superbly luxurious lodges, and game-viewing is by open jeep which are able to go off-road and come close-up to the animals.

  • Being malaria free, it is great for families with small children, and lodges pride themselves on their excellent baby-sitting services.

"The land of the Lion King "

  • The Serengeti, land of the Lion King, is considered by many as the greatest game park in the world.

  • Its endless open plains stretch for miles in all directions, and the annual migrations of millions of Wildebeest and the accompanying predators attract visitors from all over the world.

  • Its northern extension over the Kenyan border, the Masai Mara, is usually home to the migration from August to October.

The Ngorongoro Crater

  • The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the largest unbroken calderas in the world.

  • It forms a 2000 foot deep hole in the surrounding highlands which, beside being a scenic wonder, contains one of the greatest concentrations of animals in the world, making it one of our top safari destinations.

Mount Kilimanjaro

  • The famous snow-capped peak of Kilimanjaro, one of the only sites of equatorial ice in the world, is also one of the tallest free-standing mountains on Earth.

  • During the brief moments when the clouds clear, its sight is truly breathtaking.

  • The nearby Arusha National Park, on the slopes of its twin volcano, Mount Meru, is filled with unique wildlife and scenery, and also gives some of the best views of the two great mountains.

  • This area is also a paradise for hikers and climbers.

Patagonia Glaciers

The great glaciers of Patagonia are constantly crashing down the Andes Mountains into the Great Lakes of Argentina, creating one of the greatest spectacles in the natural world.

Iguazu Falls

Iguazu Falls, on the Argentina/Brazil border are ranked among the world's two greatest waterfalls, rivalled only by Victoria Falls for the title.

They are both wider than the Victoria Falls and greater in terms of average water volume.

The falls are located where the Iguazu River tumbles over the 2.7 wide edge of the Paraná Plateau, though numerous islands in the river separate the falls into between 150-300 smaller waterfalls and cataracts, varying between 60 to 82 metres (197 to 269 ft), depending on the water level.

The spectacle is literally deafening, and the falls were recently voted one of the New 7 wonders of the natural world.

The falls can be viewed both from the extensive viewing platforms on both sides of the border, and by boat!

Rio de Janeiro

Brazil's second largest city, Rio is also one of the most scenically beautiful cities in the world. Dominated by the famous Sugarloaf and Corcovado mountains, and stretches of islands and coastline, it also boasts world- famous sports stadiums, architecture, and carnivals, and is proudly preparing to host the Olympic Games.

The Capital of Argentina, Buenos Aires is the second largest city in South America, and the cultural hub of the continent. It is a top tourist destination, and is known for its European style architecture and rich cultural life, with the highest concentration of theatres in the world. This cultural richness has earned it the nickname "The Paris of South America."
